Set between Harrogate in North Yorkshire and Leeds in West Yorkshire, Harewood House really is one of the areas most stunning settings for a wedding and one of the most impressive buildings in Yorkshire. The house, home to the Queen's cousin, the Earl of Harewood, is set within landscaped grounds that overlook the lake and park as a location for wedding photography is superb.
Harewood House has two locations on-site for weddings. The first is the Courtyard with it's enclosed dramatic architecture which is a fantastic venue for a summer outdoor wedding breakfast, buffet or barbeque with the nearby Lakeside Terrace an ideal location for a drinks reception. The second option is a marquee that can be sited at one of several different locations and offers the maximum flexibility with regards to size of wedding and party. Harewood House itself doesn't offer accomodation but there are a large number of Yorkshire hotels, bed and breakfasts and Yorkshire cottages nearby, finding somewhere to stay for your guests really isn't an issue in this area.
The wedding photography opportunities are many including the fabulous backdrop of the house itself, the terraced gardens and the park and lakeside locations.
